Management & Development Co., Ltd. received international recognition by being awarded the management contract for the convention facilities, sports complex and town hall in Christchurch, New Zealand. Through a competitive worldwide bidding process, NCC was chosen to open and manage these facilities because of its uncompromising commitment to quality, innovative management style and extensive international networking capabilities.
The Christchurch Town Hall
The Christchurch Town Hall is the city's premier performing arts Centre. It was designed for the presentation of a wide range of activities including symphony, orchestral performances, concerts, opera, ballet and dramatic productions, musical comedy, convocations, gala balls, conventions and conferences. It is comprised of a 2,576 seat auditorium and a 1,006 seat proscenium arch theatre.
The Christchurch Convention Centre
Centrally located, the Christchurch Convention Centre is New Zealand's only purpose-built convention Centre. The ballrooms(3) of the Christchurch Convention Centre comprise over 1,864- sq. meters of pillarless flat floor space, an ideal environment for convention, exhibitions, trade shows and events of all types. There are additionally 7 breakout rooms. The venue comprises over 11,000-sq meters in combination with the plenary hall capacity of the Town Hall theatres.
The Westpac Centre
The 8,888 seat Westpac Centre, opened 12 September 1998, is New Zealand's largest indoor stadium. This impressive multi-purpose arena hosts concerts, exhibitions and a wide range of sporting events. The venue hosted the 1999 World Netball Championships and continues to be a centre of concert, exhibition and sporting activity for the city.
N.C.C. Management and Development was proud to manage the venues for almost 10 years offering an extensive range of functional applications and business support services to fulfill the needs of organizers and visitors to New Zealand. In its final year of management under the venue management contract, our company was pleased to provide a $1 million operational profit from the management of the venues to our client.
